Shared addresses without sharing a password
support@ and accounts@ should belong to the team, not to one person who is on holiday.
Per-mailbox access
An administrator assigns each person to the mailboxes they need. Somebody can have their own mail plus support@, and see nothing else. Nobody has to share a login.
Access is enforced, not just hidden
The rule is applied when the mail is fetched, not merely hidden in the interface, so a mailbox nobody granted you is genuinely out of reach.
There is a record
Every grant and removal is written to an audit log, so you can answer who had access to that mailbox in March.
When somebody leaves
Deactivate them and hand the mailbox to whoever takes over, with the history intact. The address keeps receiving, so customers writing to it are never bounced.
